COP Wall & Diwali Campaign

Students of our Bilaspur chapter from Nature bodies society alongwith Prakriti Sathi eco-club organized a campaign on 24th of October for spreading awareness on celebrating Diwali, a traditional festival of Indians, in a clean and green manner as concerned to the changing climate. They designed a magnificent Rangoli (portrait with colors) symbolising for maintaining clean environment by avoiding burning of crackers and associated emission noxious greenhouse gases.

Alongside, a unique COP wall inviting people’s views and understanding for celebrating clean festival was put up along the roadside, who also took oath to spread the message followed by skit by students covering the issue of harmful effects of burning crackers on environment contributing to increase in the atmospheric levels of carbon dioxide. The campaign came out successful in spreading message that people should bring change in their lifestyle to help prevent environmental degradation and consequently climate change.
