Climate Leadership Programme

The IYCN Climate Leadership Program aims to groom a strong group of young leaders across India, who will initiate and lead grassroots climate groups in their work, school, colleges and communities. Dedicated youth leaders who can mobilize and organize people at various levels.

The avenues are open to each person to become a leader regardless of their race, caste, gender, age, education or socio–economic status. IYCN aims to generate as diversified a leadership so as to cater to all peoples of India. To participate in this program, the only requirements are passion, belief and a desire to make India more cleaner, equal, wealthier and more forward thinking nation.

A Small Group of Thoughtful People Change the World

The Leadership Training for Campus Climate Changers are a series of interactive sessions on climate change. It includes basic climate science and solutions, brainstorming on campus solutions, creating action plans for implementation, and media training to communicate successes. Each workshop ends with a Climate Commitment session, where each individual needs to commit to taking action – Campus Climate Changers all commit to form a committed group and create change on campus.

Climate Leaders commit to lead by example by making changes in their own lives and sharing their successes in the Climate Solutions web database.

A Climate Leader's vision has to be an overarching and eventual dream for the future which is to encompassed in each leader's campaign. IYCN hopes to achieve all this through the training program.

Communication & Leadership skills.
