Youth Summits

Youth Summits are a great way to connect with other interested youth from neighbouring states and discuss the environment, learn from one another, and make friendships to support one's initiatives to address climate change and environment issues.

The most recent youth summit we organised was the Indian Youth Summit on Climate Change (Badlaav) in July 2009 with sessions on various issues, solutions as well as capacity building/ skill building spanning over 6 days. Approximately 250 young people from different states of India participated in the program and went on to start several grass roots initiatives on their own and under the umbrella of IYCN.

IYCN also organised the Delhi Youth Summit on Climate (DYSoC) in 2008, the Indian Youth Summit on Climate Change (IYSoCC) in 2008, and the Hyderabad Youth Summit on Climate Change in 2009.

This year we would be doing more of regional youth summits to reach out to more people and help in skill and knowledge building.

If you are interested in organising a summit or have a proposed venue for one, please get in touch with us at info@iycn.in or call us at 011 4679 2241/46
